Accessibility Statement

Our commitment

We want every home cook to be able to use Fatto, regardless of how they browse the web — whether that's with a keyboard, a screen reader, voice control, screen magnification, or any other assistive technology. Accessibility isn't a checkbox for us; it's part of building a genuinely calm, usable product.

Conformance target

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, and neurological disabilities.

What we've done

Measures we've taken across our marketing site include:

• Keyboard navigation. Every interactive element — links, buttons, menus, and forms — is reachable and operable with a keyboard, with a clearly visible focus indicator.
• Colour contrast. Text and interactive elements are checked to meet WCAG AA contrast ratios against their backgrounds.
• Semantic structure. We use proper headings, landmarks (header, navigation, main, footer), lists, and tables so assistive technology can navigate the page logically.
• A "skip to content" link so keyboard and screen-reader users can bypass the navigation.
• Text alternatives for meaningful images, and correctly hidden decorative graphics.
• Labelled forms with clear instructions and error messages announced to assistive technology.
• Reduced-motion support. If your device requests reduced motion, we turn off non-essential animation, and content never depends on animation or JavaScript to be readable.
• Resizable, responsive text that reflows without loss of content up to 200% zoom.

Ongoing effort & known limitations

Accessibility is an ongoing process, not a one-time fix. We test with keyboard navigation and automated tooling, and we review new pages against WCAG 2.1 AA before we ship them. Despite our best efforts, some content — particularly older articles or third-party embedded content — may not yet be fully conformant. Where we find a barrier, we prioritise fixing it.

If you encounter something that isn't accessible, we treat that as a bug worth fixing, not an edge case.

We aim to respond to accessibility feedback within five business days. When you contact us, it helps to include the page address, a description of the problem, and the browser and assistive technology you're using.

Assessment approach

Fatto assesses the accessibility of this website through a combination of self-evaluation, automated accessibility testing, and manual keyboard and screen-reader review. This statement was last reviewed on July 10, 2026 and will be updated as the site evolves.

Formal complaints

If you contact us about an accessibility barrier and aren't satisfied with our response, please let us know so we can escalate it internally. We take these concerns seriously and want the chance to make it right.
